Are publishing houses simply printing presses? Or do they create art of their own? This is the question posited by the founder of the Gangchil Publishers – Adhir Biswas. Gangchil is indeed a family dedicated to the craft of publishing with Biswas’s own wife Anima, and his two sons Ananya and Ankan involved in it as well. They have with them the unwavering support of university students, authors, researchers, and numerous renowned artists. And above all, there is the constant companionship of author and friend Sailen Sarkar. Not only do they think for themselves, they also inspire others to create – and this joint endeavour is what sets Gangchil apart from the rest.
